This week I realised that I do not have a great deal of birthday cards in my stash so decided I would make the most of the Level 1 Sale-a-bation items and create some great cards.
I thought I would try and showcase these designer series papers so I found a card that I could use multiple designs of the paper on each card.
Even with fun fold cards I really try to ensure that they still fit in a standard envelope and this one folds flat if you don’t embellish to much.
For the sentiments I used the Approaching Perfection stamp set.
This card base is really simple (see the video for instructions) but I was limited in the papers that I could use as I don’t normally stock too much of the 12 x 12 cardstock.
You can get all the cardstock layers in this card from an A4 sheet.
The sentiment die cuts are from the Stitched So Sweetly dies.
The cardstock layer is ¼” smaller than the card but the DSP is only 1/8” smaller.
I really wanted to use coloured cardstock again for the base of the cards using the Flowers and Field DSP but as stated earlier I don’t have a lot of different colours of the 12 x 12 cardstock, so I have just used white.
To get the different coloured candles I used the marker to stamp method with the Stampin’ Write Markers.
The layering cardstock in this card is Pool Party.
I’d love to know which one is your favourite?
Hope you enjoyed the projects.
If you would like a catalogue please let me know and I will pop one in the post for you.
