Team Swaps

Team Swaps

My upline has a Team Create day once a quarter in person and with the release of the Holiday Catalogue, a few of us decided to participate in Team Swaps.

This is such a great way to get a number of different samples of different projects but also using stamps or supplies that you may not own yourself. I was so pleased with all the swaps and those that had chocolates or sweets in them have already been eaten.

  • These cute little mini boxes were on the tables for each of us and they held a Ferrero Rocher. Kym let me take an extra one home for Hunter.

Team swaps here, Team swaps there, Team swaps everywhere!!

My swap was the Christmas Ornament which is featured in a previous blog post and video.

At these team create days there are a number of us that design projects for the team to create showcasing techniques and product.

Cow Card

This project was designed by Deb and is super cute. I love these cows so much and this one even has a moving head. Personally I learnt a lot from this card as being new to blending I have just found glycerine.  I have found that I have been using too much of it. You only need a tiny tiny drop so I think I will have to find something smaller than my Nurofen dropper.

Snowflake Card

This card was showcased from Laura D who I think was inspired by the catalogue. What was surprising about this was that using the Seaside Spray re-inker to do the watercolour background we were all getting some shades of purple along with the blue. It was really quite fascinating and gave a great effect. Laura mentioned that when she created her sample card she only got the blue, so not sure if it was the different environments or not but it was a great result.

6x6 Frame

Team Swaps with Origami folding!

This project was showcased by Carolyn and there are numerous youtube clips on this around origami folding. It is a great way to use up your papers as it only uses 4 6×6 pieces. This project did use the retired product to give you the prototype to use on your current papers. You want to make sure you use double-sided paper to get this effect.  I think it would work best if you limit the number of different pieces to ensure it didn’t get too busy.

Carolyn finished the back of her frame off with a piece of whisper white or another piece of DSP. I wanted to finish mine off with a darker piece of cardstock so will do that later. You can add a stamped sentiment to the centre, a photo or you could embellish and give as a gift. I’m thinking of making a whole heap of these for Hunter to give his kindy friends for Christmas, instead of the usual chocolates.

Another project showcased by Laura S.  Which was some stunning ornaments and a super cute box using the Brightly Gleaming DSP.  Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to put those together.

I’ve also realised that I didn’t photograph my project but it was a super quick Christmas Card that I made in a Facebook Live a few weeks ago.

If you would like to purchase any of the product showcased here today please let me know

Don’t already have a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator!!

I would be happy to help you place an order. If you would like a catalogue please let me know and I will pop one in the post for you.
