Stampin’ Success Magazine is awesome
If you are a demonstrator you hang out for the end of the quarter because the Stampin’ Success Magazine is awesome. Have you heard of it? This magazine is a gold mine of additional projects and stories from demonstrators around the world of business tips and all sorts of things.
I’ve had so much going on lately that I have not been designing too much ahead of time. This is what happens when you throw studying into the mix of my already hectic life. Before I knew it Friday had come around and I was sitting here thinking I have nothing planned for tonight and I am not sure I have any crafting mojo left because I was just exhausted. This is where the Stampin’ Success helped me so much. I decided right then I was going to CASE a fabulous card that I had seen in that a few days beforehand when it arrived.
You can watch the video of me making these cards here:
Hints and Tips
I encourage you to watch the video as I have some hints and tips of using the Mercury Acetate sheets.
I used the Seaside Spray re-inker and I feel this is why I have got a darker background but also I could have been a little heavy-handed and perhaps should have used more water.
After completing this card a number of ladies commented on my Facebook Live that it would look great in purple too, so right there and then I decided to jump right in and do the same project in Purple Posy as it was announced a couple of days prior that it is orderable again.
I didn’t have the re-inker of Purple Posy so just used the ink pad and water and I like this softer effect much better than the Seaside Spray version of this card now. The greeting is not stamped great as I was using the Purple Posy Inkpad that I received in my pre-order and you can see it is a bit bubbly. This is the reason Stampin’ Up! pulled it and they have now fixed all the issues and it is now able to be ordered again. My new one will arrive shortly and the image will stamp as clear as the Seaside Spray version.
I’ve been colouring my ribbons so much lately and this is the silver metallic edge ribbon that has been coloured with the Purple Posy Blends and it just ties in so well with the project.
