Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop – Male Card using Beautiful World

If you are new or have never heard of a blog hop before it is a group of participants that create a project that may or may not have a theme and they “hop” together. The hopping means that there is a list of names of the other participants at the bottom of this post and you can click on their links and see all the wonderful projects that have been created. This is a great way to see the talent of other crafters that you may not follow already.

Male cards are often the most difficult cards to make and I don’t really know why. I think it has to do with the fact that there are often less male-orientated stamps sets to choose from, but boy did Stampin’ Up! change that for this catalogue. There are so many to choose from but I have narrowed it down to the Beautiful World Bundle.

I’ve heard a few people that have not been too fussed with the new in-colour Cinnamon Cider but I just can’t get enough of it and this Designer Series Paper is just gorgeous with it. I immediately thought of Gingerbread Men so I’m thinking of ways I can come up with something over the Christmas period.

I’ve made a few of these Locked Gate Fold Cards now and the instructions for these can be found:

The background piece is the Velveteen Paper which I missed the first time going through the Catalogue but it is on page 153. This also embosses really well, I have used the Old World Paper Embossing Folder.

The sentiment is stamped on a die-cut from the Tasteful Labels Dies.

  1. Vickie, I am with you, I love the Cinnamon Cider color!! Your card is beautiful, if you are allowed to say that about a masculine card!!! I have not tried the Velveteen Paper yet, but it looks deliciously rich on your card.

    1. Thanks so much. I call my son beautiful all the time. I think it is fine to say that about a male card too. Thanks so much for your lovely comments.
