If you’ve been following the hop already you would have come from Terry’s great project.
Fun fold cards are so much fun, but sometimes I find it means that you need to create a special envelope or they are more expensive to post. This bridge fold card is amazing as you get the enjoyment of a fun fold card, but it is still a normal size and there are no additional costs for postage (depending on how much you embellish).
I received a card like this from a friend last year for my birthday and then another demonstrator, Helen McEwen also inspired me with a lovely creation for a Christmas Card. I’ve finally got around to having some time to make my own version of it.
I stamped and coloured the images using the blends and then I covered the whole thing in Shimmery Crystal Effects which gave it a nice shine and sparkle. This helps make it look more like glass and even though it is for a male they still like a little sparkle.
On the back is where you need to write your message as once you place the bar on the front it is too hard to write in there.
I loved this so much that I’ve ended up making three different versions of this. I have my Father In Law’s birthday, my step sons birthday and my mums birthday all within a few week of each other so all cards have been made with the same template and will show these cards in upcoming blog posts.
Cardstock – 21 cm x 10.5 cm
DSP / Cardstock layer– 10cm x 2.5 cm
Whisper White layer – 10cm x 8.5 cm (you will need two of these)
Score long side at 3cm, 6cm, 15cm, 18cm
Cardstock Bar – 15 cm long and any width (I’ve used 1” for the male cards)
Hope you enjoyed the cards.
