I’ve seen quite a few demonstrators doing splotches so I thought I would try them out and I think splotches are my new thing.
To check out me making these cards watch the below Facebook Live video where I made all four cards.
In the video, I did use the blends to make the splotches but I do not believe that you should treat your blends like this and your Stampin’ Write markers will work just as well and it won’t destroy the tip as bad.
Splotches are my new thing!
The last few Friday Night Live’s I have not planned and they have turned out great, but this is not usually how I like to work. This week I was trying to be organised but I was having a mental blank and just couldn’t come up with anything remotely crafty. When this happens I often turn to the catalogue for inspiration or Pinterest. I usually stick with the catalogue because although that has 200 pages once I flip through that is it, Pinterest I can lose hours on that app.
I knew I wanted to use the Genuine Gems stamp set for all cards as I haven’t really used this much since I received it as my prize patrol at Onstage but found no inspiration in the catalogue so turned to Pinterest and found this card from Mitosu Crafts and immediately started thinking of ideas.
I am trying my hardest to use up embellishments that I have opened before I add to my collection further so decided on the glitter enamel dots and this was then my colour inspiration for the cards.
I added some ribbon to this one to finish it off.
Hope you enjoyed the video and these cards and I have inspired you to give them a try ink blending and splotches.
