Showcasing the new catalogue

I’m excited to be showcasing the new catalogue and participating in another blog hop this month, I’ve become a little bit addicted to them. This is my first blog hop with Stamp ‘n Hop.

Showcasing the new catalogue

If you are new or have never heard of a blog hop before it is a group of participants that create a project that may or may not have a theme and they “hop” together. The hopping means that there is a list of names of the other participants at the bottom of this post and you can click on their links and see all the wonderful projects that have been created. This is a great way to see the talent of other demonstrators that you may not have come across before, as this particular blog hop is only for Stampin’ Up Demonstrators.

I’m not sure about you but colouring has not been my forte but since seeing this Good Morning Magnolia stamp set in the new catalogue I’ve seen so many wonderful demonstrators showcasing the coloured images that I just had to have a go.

Team day

My upline (Kym Byrne) had her team day a couple of weeks ago which pretty much threw me into colouring. Up until this point, I had pretty much just been studying YouTube videos and researching as much as I could. This is my version of the card that Kym designed and as you can tell I struggled with leaving white space.

After coming home from this team day I did some further research and I also watched a video from Selene Kempton which demonstrated the Colour Lifter. Well isn’t that a game changer? This has certainly helped me so much in my colouring attempts and I think it is a must-have in everyone’s craft room.

The Long Haul

One afternoon I sat down and stamped the large image from the Good Morning Magnolia Set a number of times, onto Whisper White Cardstock, Shimmery White Cardstock, Vellum Cardstock and Crumb Cake Cardstock and I embossed these in White, Gold, Silver or Copper. Then I just sat and looked at them, but I did end up coming back to them a few days later, yes that is right, days later and attempted to colour them.

In my Facebook Live, I then used a number of the colour images and created cards using the Designer Series Paper in this range as well and a simple sentiment. These are a couple more of the cards that I made.

This one is embossed in Copper on the Shimmery White Cardstock and I’ve coloured with the Light and Dark Petal Pink Blends, Light Soft Suede, Light Mossy Meadow and the Colour Lifter.

In the above picture, you can see that I have stamped the smaller Magnolia image on Shimmery White Cardstock in Early Espresso. I have only used the Light and Dark Petal Pink Blends, Light Mossy Meadow, Light Soft Suede and the Colour Lifter. I then finished them off with some Wink of Stella.

Quick & Easy

These cards were so quick and easy to put together and you let the DSP do the majority of the work for you.

I would appreciate if you took the time to leave a comment below and I would love it if you could continue the blog hop and click on the next participant’s link.
