I have my upline Kym to thank for this project. This was one of the projects that she designed for our Team Create Day a few weeks ago now and I didn’t finish it on the day so I’ve had to complete it today.
It is such a gorgeous little gift box that fits 4 note cards and envelopes in it. The cute little belly band holds it all together.
The best thing about this project is that it only uses 1 piece of A4 card stock to make the box and belly band and then you may need some additional scraps depending on how decorated you want your notes cards to be.
Cut your piece of A4 Cardstock to 8 ½ “ x 11”. Then cut this into three pieces 3 ½” x 9½”, 3 ¾” x 10” and the leftover piece that is 1” x 11” is the belly band.
Score the biggest piece (3 ¾” x 10”) on the long side at 5 ¼” and 6 “ – No cutting required on this piece
Score the next piece (3 ½” x 9½”) on the long side at 3 ¾”, 4 ¼”, 8 ¼” and 9”
Turn this piece and score on the short side at ¾”
Cut this piece on the score lines from the bottom ¾” side and put together like a normal box.
Stick this to the bottom of the longer side of the other scored piece. The scoring on this piece will flip over the top and form the box.
We also got given one piece of the 6 x 6 DSP and this covered the Note Card box and some leftover to decorate the cards.
All I added to this was some Sparkle Glimmer Paper, punched out Starburst pieces and sentiments stamped on 2 inch circles punched out.
Decorate the cards as you see fit using whatever bits you have leftover from the DSP and any cutouts.
The cardstock piece on this card is from the original A4 piece so don’t throw any scraps away until you are done decorating the cards.
