I am already creating these cards so why not showcase them to everyone. In this blog hop, we are being highlighted internationally by Kylie Bertucci, which is so great. I am so thankful for such a fabulous opportunity. In this blog hop though the top 10 projects will participate in another blog hop later in the month. You might ask how do I get myself into the top 10? That is where you all come in and if you could please vote for my project here

Inspiration for this blog

Our theme this month is Encouragement, which I thought was so fitting as I won the prize patrol at Onstage in Auckland where I received this brand new stamp set Genuine Gems. This will be available in the new annual catalogue from 4 June 2019. Last month i had 3 of my team members promote which inspired me to add this card to the gift they will receive.

We were also lucky enough to be gifted this Mosaic Mood Designer Series Paper. When I first thumbed through the catalogue I completely missed this paper pack as it didn’t really catch my eye. Boy was I surprised when I opened the packaging and saw the detail and all the shininess of this paper. It is so gorgeous and I have been busy fussy cutting some of the larger flower images, butterflies and birds but had not yet found a card to put these on.

Old fashion technique

This may look like the floating frame technique that seems to be very popular at the moment but I just did this the old fashioned way. Whilst completing both of these cards I did think about trying this technique as I was one of the lucky ones that managed to pick up some Press n Seal in New Zealand when I was there for Onstage, because this is not stocked in Australia. But I wanted to make this card in time to participate for the blog hop and I will try that technique another day.

Using the stitched rectangle dies to cut a frame from Whisper White, which is the same size frame on both cards. I have just filled one frame in so you can no longer see it and the other frame I have left with quite a bit of white to highlight the sentiment more. In this card, I also did finish the outside off with some of the precious flower gems that co-ordinate with this paper.

The sentiments are embossed with white embossing powder and the card base is Terracotta Tile.

Then I also decorated the insides of the cards as shown here

[ngg src=”galleries” ids=”48″ exclusions=”393,394,395,396,398,399″ alt=”Inside card 1″ display=”basic_thumbnail”]And this is the inside of the first card shown. I kept this one a little simpler as the front had a little more going on.

[ngg src=”galleries” ids=”48″ exclusions=”393,394,395,396,397,399″ alt=”Insdie card 2″ display=”basic_thumbnail”]I hope you liked these cards and I would love for you to take the time to vote for my card and leave a comment.
