I’m excited to be participating in another Kylie’s Demonstrator Blog Hop, this month for Kylie’s Demonstrator Training Group. Last month was my first ever blog hop and even after that, I am a little addicted. I’ve sourced a few other blog hops to be a part of. It is so exciting to be creating more projects and blogging about them.
If you are new or have never heard of a blog hop before it is a group of participants that create a project that may or may not have a theme and they “hop” together. The hopping means that there is a list of names of the other participants at the bottom of this post and you can click on their links and see all the wonderful projects that have been created. This is a great way to see the talent of other demonstrators that you may not have come across before, as this particular blog hop is only for Stampin’ Up Demonstrators that are a part of Kylie Bertucci’s Training Group.
New Arrivals ready to be showcased in Kylie’s Demonstrator Blog Hop
With a new annual catalogue comes the new in-colours and you will notice that there have been quite a few projects where demonstrators are focusing on the new colours. Although I love the new colours I thought I never really showcased last year’s colours and so whilst we wait for the issues to be resolved with Purple Posy I thought I would focus on 2018-2020 in colours and this is what I came up with.
I am really trying to promote the Daisy Lane suite in order to meet the promotion that Stampin’ Up! is offering those demonstrators that attended Onstage. These cards were really designed around the white frame as I have so many of these now lying around in my scraps. I have been obsessed with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits and using the smaller size leaves me with these frames. Seriously I have about 40 of these, so I decided that today’s card had to use these. I gave these frames a little more texture by running them through the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder (after I had stamped the sentiments).
Thinking of others while crafting
My girlfriend who sells Younique make up is currently aiming for a really big promotion for the month of June, which will mean that she will be a Green Status. I personally have no idea what that means but from her Facebook posts, it is a really big deal. Anyways I am pretty confident in her achieving this so when using the Call Me Clover colour I made sure to use this sentiment and I will send her this card.
I knew I wanted to use the frames but when I created the card and put the daisies on it seemed really boring and it was framing nothing. With some help from my husband, I decided to stamp the background in the same colour as the cardstock to provide some interest but not overshadow the daisies or the frame. I often forget about the #simplestamping and how effective this is. As a demonstrator, I am always trying to create cards that my avid class attendees will enjoy but the simple act of stamping the background on this certainly finished the card.
Even though it is the same design I think different colours create very different cards. These 5 cards took no time at all to come together (as mentioned earlier I already had the frames cut out from previous projects) and I think would be a great class.
I am also making sure that I finish the insides of all my cards and the smaller daisy image was used on all cards and stamped in the coordinating colours.
I would love it if you took the time to make a comment and please ensure you continue along the Kylie’s Demonstrator Training Blog Hop and check out all the other very talented demonstrators that are participating this month.
