I’m a little late in posting about this, but I wanted to make sure the cards were received prior to this post being published.
Male cards are always the hardest for me to come up so Father’s Day is often a dreaded event in this household where I need to come up with three different male cards for the same weekend.
My Dad is into fishing and he tries to get out as much as he can in his boat, but work doesn’t always allow that. The Sailing Away stamp set really helps this card come together easy and surprisingly I used the Sending Sunshine stamp set for the clouds and the sandy areas. I finished off the card with a watercolour wash, I understand this should have been done first but it wasn’t until I finished the card that I thought it needed more. I was careful to not to smear the sentiment or the lighthouse. I did add one of the trinkets that are no longer available to finish the card off.
I even managed to stamp and take photos of the inside of the card too.
This one is for my father in law and he loves cards. I have wanted an excuse to use the Game On stamp set and this was the perfect opportunity. I used Merry Merlot but in hindsight I think it is a bit dark but I was still pretty happy with the result.

This is the card I made for my husband and I had so much fun playing with it. I used the fine tip clear glue over the top of the decanter and the glasses after I had coloured them to give them a glossy finish.
If you use this technique you really need to ensure that you use the Stampin’ Blends as the glue will make the colour run if you use water based markers. You can see the image of the bottle and glass is not as crisp as it would normally be and that is due to the glue.

Hope you enjoyed the cards.
