I’m excited to be participating in my first Colour Combo Blog Hop this month, which we are focussing on showcasing Highland Heather, Misty Moonlight and Sahara Sand.
If you are new or have never heard of a blog hop before it is a group of participants that create a project that may or may not have a theme and they “hop” together. The hopping means that there is a list of names of the other participants at the bottom of this post and you can click on their links and see all the wonderful projects that have been created. This is a great way to see the talent of other crafters that you may not have come across before.
I do love blue and purple as a combo and I have used it many times before but given Misty Moonlight is still very new to me I have not used it and I do not often use Sahara Sand, so I had to think outside the box for this one.
I used the Mountain Air Bundle for this card. Although the majority of the card is stamping, I have used the die cut cloud image to help with layering the colours in the sky.
I would sponge the colour on, over the template of the cloud and then move the cloud and do it again. I would go over some parts that I had already put colour on to darken it up, but also give the effect of distance as well. I’m still quite new to trying scenery cards, and getting loads of colour and depth but this stamp set does make stunning cards with very little effort.
After I added all the colour, I did do another layer with the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint to give a little sparkle.
The sentiment is from the Field of Flowers stamp set as I wanted a really simple sentiment, that was not going to cover up or take over the colouring.
Once again, thank you for visiting my blog today & that you have found inspiration to create your own project. Please click on the Next Button to hop along with the rest of us. Don’t forget when visiting to leave them a little love.
