Colour Combo Blog Hop

I’m excited to be participating in this Blog Hop this month, which focuses on a colour combination. These colours are not ones that I would normally put together, but this is the whole reason I love this blog hop as it pushes you outside your comfort zone.

If you are new or have never heard of a blog hop before it is a group of participants that create a project that may or may not have a theme and they “hop” together. The hopping means that there is a list of names of the other participants at the bottom of this post and you can click on their links and see all the wonderful projects that have been created. If you’ve been on this hop already you may have come from Sigrid’s great project and I hope you continue to hop around.

Initially I thought these colours will not go together and I struggled for quite awhile. I originally started with a Mossy Meadow cardbase and I think that was the issue, so switched it up to Bermuda Bay and just kept the layers going on this one. It is quite a heavy card so will need to add additional postage or hand deliver this card.

I wanted to show the Plush Poinsettia Speciality Paper is not just for Christmas so I have used it as a layer here to add additional texture. I’ve also embossed the smaller piece of Smoky Slate with the Dainty Diamonds Embossing Folder.
