I am sick of Christmas Cards already.
Can you believe I am saying I am sick of Christmas Cards already and it is only just October? When coming up with my projects tonight I wanted to do something that was not Christmas related and got out a few stamps sets that I have not inked up in a while.
You can watch the video of me making these cards here:
As previously mentioned I am running a couple of classes this week at my workplace because it is QLD Mental Health Week and wanted to tie paper crafting into this and show the benefits that can be achieved. Am so thankful to have been given this opportunity and when I initially designed some cards I was thinking I might get 2 or 3 people in each session. Got confirmation of numbers on Thursday and there are 7 confirmed for each session. I was so surprised but also thought I can’t have people standing around waiting for stamp sets so quickly came up with two more projects using different stamp sets and ink colours so that I can have 4 people stamping at all times.
Giving something back
These wonderful people are giving up their lunch breaks to stamp with me I didn’t want them to be frustrating waiting around. I tried to choose some uplifting sentiments as the idea behind this event is that the participants will stamp 4 cards (2 of 2 designs) and they will get to keep 2 and donate the other 2 to LIVIN which is the Mental Health Charity that all proceeds are going to.
Finally, I did a stepped-up version of the Daisy Card, which just goes to show a few additional supplies and this card is truly transformed.
I have had to think of the supplies that I need for these cards as I have to carry everything on the bus with me into the city. I wasn’t going to be able to carry a big shot, dies and multiple punches as these just weigh too much. Especially considering each card design now has 40 kits for all sessions to cater for any walk-ins which I may get.
I’m looking forward to this event so much because for many years I have not combined my Stampin’ Business with my Professional Business but I thought QLD Mental
Health Week was a great opportunity to do that and who knows what this will lead to in the future.
