Hello Cupcake

I am still using the Gingham Gala Suite but I have chosen another Sale-a-bration Level 1 FREE stamp set to use today – Hello Cupcake. This set cannot be purchased and can only be earned with a qualifying order of $90.
Some of you may know I am trying to use up my Designer Series Paper and Embellishments and as the release of the new Annual Catalogue comes closer (1 June 2019) there are a number of items I still need to use up. I don’t have much of this Gingham Gala DSP left though, so today we are focusing on Highland Heather and Balmy Blue.
These cards I have had made and ready to blog for quite a few weeks as I like to be organised and I still work full time in my “real job”, which has been great as my work has been extremely busy the last few weeks. What is frustrating though, is that I spent a lot of time fussy cutting out these images to find out that Stampin’ Up! are releasing dies that will cut them out for us.  Yes you heard right. These coordinating dies will be released 1 March and will be available to purchase only whilst stocks last.

Card 1

This first card I tried to keep it simple but I did use the Rectangle Stitched Framelits so it does not qualify for our #simplestamping.

• Balmy Blue Cardstock is cut at 5 ⅝ inches x 4 inches
• Gingham Gala DSP is cut at 5 ½ inches x 3 ⅞ inches
• Whisper White Cardstock is cut at 4 ⅝ inches x 3 ½ inches (stitched rectangle and then also cut the inside out (which is the piece that was used on the first card) and the smaller one is cut at 1 ⅝ x 1 ⅛ inches (smallest one)
• Scrap bit of Whisper White Cardstock to stamp and cut cupcakes out
• 6 inches of ribbon – you need enough to tie a knot
• Balmy Blue Ink Pad
• Early Espresso Ink Pad
• Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins
• Window Sheet piece (cut 4 x 2 inches)
• Hello Cupcake stamp set (free sale-a-bration item)
• Organdy Ribbon Bundle (free sale-a-bration item)
Instructions
• Adhere the piece of Gingham Gala DSP to the piece of Balmy Blue Cardstock.
• On the larger Whisper White layer stamp using the Balmy Blue Ink the sprinkles all over the frame. You will then need to adhere the Window Sheet to the back of this frame. Once the window sheet has adhered you will need to add the foam strips to the outside to build an enclosure for the shaker bit. Then around the edge of the Whisper White frame, you will also want another section of foam strips. I’ve used some blue stars that I had lying around as I thought it matched perfectly for my shaker, but you can use anything that you might have. These shaker bits get placed on the window sheet and then you need to remove the backing from the foam strips. It is easier if you actually leave this piece face down and layer the backing onto it.
• On the smaller piece of the Whisper White, you will need to stamp the sentiment in Balmy Blue.
• On a scrap of the Whisper White, you need to stamp the cupcake base (Early Espresso) and the cupcake topper (Balmy Blue) and then fussy cut these out. If you are completing this after 1 March 2019 and lucky enough to purchase the co-ordinating dies these will work as well.
• Adhere the cupcake pieces to the frame with dimensionals and then finish off with the sequins.
• Adhere the sentiment to the bottom of the frame.
• Adhere the Balmy Blue Cardstock piece to the cardbase.
